  • Kristen Sheridan

    Kristen Sheridan, Camp Director dance staff

    Kristen Sheridan has studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip hop. Kristen was a member and captain of her Illinois State Champion high school dance team. She was the Showstopper of the Week her junior and senior year, and then won the National Showstopper of the Year Scholarship her senior year. Kristen was on the University of Wisconsin Dance Team, a consistent top ten team at Nationals. She worked for Showstopper Camps of America for 7 years and became their Associate Camp Director and Featured Choreographer in 2004. She has danced professionally as an Adrenaline Rush dancer for the Chicago Rush Arena Football Team and in the NBA as a Chicago Luvabull for the Chicago Bulls. Kristen was a captain of the Luvabulls her third season. She is the former Head Coach for the nationally ranked University of South Florida Dance Team, the SunDolls.

  • Matthew Perez

    Matthew Perez, Flag Coordinator flag staff

    Matthew Perez has over 10 years experience in the color guard industry, winning three DCI world championships, a second place finish, and two DCI individual and ensemble competitions with the Cavaliers. These impressive and formative years have set up this young choreographer for success. Matthew currently heads up the color guard design and choreography for the Prospect Marching Knights, a regular BOA regional and national finalist. He has also garnered state recognition as the premier designer for the state champion Palatine Flag team; as well as consultant for many state finalists. Illinois State dance adjudicator and frequent guest judge to other State organizations has afforded Matthew an inside look at the complex and inner workings of the judiciary system.

  • Jenny Anderson

    Jenny Anderson dance staff

    Jenny Anderson, originally from Minnesota, has studied and performed ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theater, hip-hop, tap, swing and salsa. She has been dancing since the age of 4 and never plans to stop! Jenny was 2-year captain/MVP of her high school dance team competing jazz and kick and captain/MVP of the nationally ranked University of Wisconsin-Madison dance team competing jazz and hip-hop. She was a dance instructor, choreographer and model for Just For Kix Dance Camps. Jenny performed in the evening production shows for Royal Caribbean for 2 years before moving to Los Angeles. In LA, she was member of DDO Dance Agency and took several classes at the world renowned EDGE Performing Arts Center. Jenny now lives and performs in Chicago with the All About Dance Company.

  • Allison Bass

    Allison Bass dance staff

    Allison Bass has studied ballet, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, pom, and tap under the direction of Michelle Fitterer at Dance House in Highland, Illinois. As a company member, she received various scholarships and awards. Allison was a member of Collinsville High School's Varsity Dance Team for four years. She was captain her junior and senior years. Her team brought home several State Championships and Titles in both the IDTA and TDI organizations. Allison currently attends college at the University of Kentucky in Lexington where she is pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She is very grateful to be a member of Kentucky's nationally ranked dance team and excited to further develop her dance career. Go Wildcats!

  • Heather Bilbrey

    Heather Bilbrey dance staff

    Heather Bilbrey has training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, Pointe, tap, musical theatre, and lyrical. She studied at St. Charles School of Dance, Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance in Chicago, and the Broadway Dance Center in New York. She started performing at age six in numerous dance competitions and in the Chicago Tribune Charities production of The Nutcracker. She received multiple scholarships, including several from the CNADM convention. Heather was on her high school pom team for four years. She was co-captain her junior year and captain/choreographer her senior year. Heather graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Psychology and Dance. She is currently a middle school teacher and the coach of Premier Poms, a not-for-profit dance team.

  • Lauren Bilbrey

    Lauren Bilbrey dance staff

    Lauren Bilbrey has studied with St. Charles School of Dance and Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance. She is formally trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, and hip hop. Lauren started performing at age ten, when she was cast in the Chicago Tribune Charities production of The Nutcracker. She has received numerous scholarships, including Dimitri Roudnev's Ballet Intensive from Moscow. Lauren was member and captain of her Illinois State Champion high school pom team. During her senior year, she was voted Showstopper of the Week and Year. Lauren danced at the University of Iowa, while gaining a Bachelor of Arts in English. She choreographs for highly competitive pom and dance teams throughout the area, and has recently gained state titles. Lauren also coaches and is a dance instructor for local high schools.

  • Amber Jackson

    Amber Jackson dance staff

    Amber Jackson, from Madison, WI, trained at Monona Academy of Dance and Dance Wisconsin, performing in classical works such as The Nutcracker, La Fille Mal Gardée, and Coppélia. After graduating from high school, she was an apprentice with the Louisville Ballet for one year before attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received a degree in Elementary Education. During college Amber was a member, as well as team captain, of the UW Dance Team and also performed with Jazzworks, an award-winning jazz, modern, and contemporary ballet company. After graduation, Amber moved to Chicago where she was an apprentice with River North Chicago Dance Company. Amber joined Dance Works Chicago in July 2010.

  • Jaimee Jaucian

    Jaimee Jaucian dance staff

    Jaimee Jaucian began dancing in the Macopa Filipino Dance Troupe in Madison, WI and continued training in jazz and ballet. Jaimee was a member of the nationally-ranked University of Wisconsin-Madison Dance Team and danced on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for the 2000 Rose Bowl. Jaimee was an Adrenaline Rush Dancer and her passion for hip hop started when training at Lou Conte and Visceral dance studios in Chicago. Jaimee is the co-director of Hip Hop ConnXion-Chicago, a company with a mission to inspire youth through dance. She choreographs, performs, teaches and attends conventions with master choreographers like Tabitha and Napoleon, Dumo, Sonya Tayeh, and the Jabbawockeez. Her choreography has been featured by high school/college dance teams. Performance credits include The One Urban Dance Showcase, Dance Chicago, the Fame movie premiere and The Oprah Winfrey Show. Jaimee has her M.A. in Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling and works in behavioral health services.

  • Christina Barnum

    Christina is currently the color guard director at Prospect High School, a Bands of America Regional finalist. She has been involved in color guard for 15 years. Christina was a member of the University of Illinois flag team, performed with the Capital Sound Drum Corps, and has choreographed for several high schools in the Chicagoland area. In addition to color guard, Christina has been involved in Orchesis, both as a performer and instructor. During the day, she teaches science at Elk Grove High School.

    Will is glad to be back for a third year with SPC! He comes to camp with energy and a fun teaching style. Will began exploring colorguard at Lincoln-Way East High School from 2002-2006. After high school he marched with the Cavalier Drum and Bugle Corps (2006-2007). Will also has extensive marching experience in the winterguard circuit. He has marched with Independence Winterguard and Orion World Winterguard. Will has taught and consulted with high school groups such as Waubonsie Valley, LaPorte, and Lake Park High School.

  • Brady Sanders

    Brady Sandersflag staff

    Brady Sanders, originally from Oswego, Illinois, is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree at Point Park University in Pittsburgh. He also attended Illinois State University, where he performed with the Illinois State Dance Theater. Brady has toured nationally and internationally with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and Thodos Dance Chicago. Recently he performed at the Busan International Dance Festival in South Korea. Brady has been teaching color guard and dance at high schools around the country since 2003. His most recent teaching endeavors include Marian Catholic High School, Norwin High School, Mt Prospect High School, the Pride of Cincinnati winter guard and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps. Brady is excited to see where his passion for performance and education will take him next.
